Memorial American Flags Birdhouse | Patriotic Gift

When she first caught sight of this scene out of the corner of her eye while playing fife in a parade, Sally thought it was a field of blue flowers. Unable to imagine what would be blooming like that, at that time of year, she headed back for a closer look after the parade with her camera. That's when she realized they weren't flowers, they were flags! A beautiful and touching sight on the hillside meadow in front of a church in Essex, Connecticut. The memory of that stays with her, and she's glad to be sharing it on this Memorial Flags birdhouse.

I build these birdhouses using 3/4" plywood and metal panels that I design and make in my studio. The panels will never rust. They are made from the same UV-protected metal as a novelty license plate, like those for a university or ball team. Hang your birdhouse in dappled sun or full shade for happy birds and long lasting colors. Air vents located under the protection of the eaves and in the floor allow air flow through-out. The roof is removable for easy access to clean out old nests.
